Friends, as we all know that media has now become an important part of our lives and is playing a key role in our everyday life. Media i.e. print, electronic, ooh, and digital (social) connects us with all the very important scenarios around the globe and also keeps us updated with all the major happenings in and around the world. But here I'm talking with you about social media only.

Friends, I’m very much sure that you’re very well aware of social media as you must be having an account on any of these social media platforms…..Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest. But having an account is not just enough when you’re doing some business or an activity which needs to be told to your contacts and etc., and here you would require an effective strategy to reach out to your target audience spread over different social media platforms.

So friends sharing with you just 20 key steps to create an effective social media strategy.

1.      Do research on past & present social media campaigns

2.      Identify your social media goals and define objectives

3.      Define Your Target Audience

4.      Identify Benefits of each Social Media Platforms

5.      Based on point 3 identify Social Media Platforms to reach your target audience

6.      Based on point 4 determine two best social media platforms.

7.      Develop a content strategy that connects with your target audience.

8.      Evaluate the resources i.e. man power etc. to execute the strategy

9.      Create a social media team and assign roles

10. Create a social media calendar

11. Create a cross – platform strategy

12. Create the content needed to carry out your strategy: blogs, statements, data, interviews, images, videos, graphics etc. 

13. Schedule your social media activities based on social media calendar

14. Determine the best posting times on social media

15. Engage your audience through your communication

16. Identify and engage with influencers related to the field

17. Collect feedback and if needed, modify your communication based on the feedback

18. Identify Evaluation Measures

19. Write an Evaluation Report

20. Conduct social media audit based on collected data
