Thank you for landing on my BLOG PAGE.

Friends, I'm passionate about sharing knowledge with you, and your feedback has been a constant source of encouragement.

As a firm believer that 'Everything I do or say is PR,' I'm driven to continuously create and share valuable content. I'm excited to share my 183rd blog post, which introduces the PR Definition & PR Model – RISE, by yours truly.

Friends, in the ever-evolving landscape of public relations, it's essential to have a clear understanding of what PR truly involves. For too long, our students and professionals have relied on PR definitions and PR models developed by foreign authors, often lacking a uniquely Indian perspective. I'm honoured to share that this gap is about to be bridged.

Today, on 1st May 2025 which happen to be my birthday, I’m introducing a groundbreaking contribution to the field – my own definition of PR and PR Model RISE, a structured approach designed to help professionals craft effective strategies and build meaningful relationships.

As the first Indian author to present a homegrown definition and model, I'm delighted to offer a fresh perspective that resonates with our diverse cultural context. Let's explore how these concepts can transform your PR practice.

Public Relations Redefined: Rise in Love, Rise in PR: Presenting My Definition of PR

“Public Relations (PR) is the practice of building and nurturing meaningful relationships, fostering trust, and enhancing reputation through LOVE (Listening, Observing, Valuing, Empathizing) and RISE (Reputation, Influence, Sharing, Efforts).”

Let me define LOVE and RISE in the context of Public Relations (PR) and understand how they are interlinked.

In the ever-evolving world of Public Relations (PR), building meaningful relationships, fostering trust, and enhancing reputation are crucial for success. Here's a redefined approach to PR, centered around the concepts of LOVE and RISE.

LOVE: The Foundation of PR
1. Listening: Actively paying attention to stakeholders, understanding their needs, concerns, and feedback.
2. Observing: Noticing and interpreting the perspectives, values, and expectations of various groups.
3. Valuing: Recognizing and appreciating the importance of each stakeholder, fostering a sense of mutual respect.
4. Empathizing: Demonstrating compassion and empathy towards stakeholders, acknowledging their emotions and experiences.

RISE: The Pillars of PR
1. Reputation: Building and maintaining a positive image, credibility, and trustworthiness.
2. Influence: Shaping public opinion, perceptions, and behaviors through strategic communication.
3. Sharing: Disseminating relevant information, stories, and experiences to engage stakeholders.
4. Efforts: Implementing consistent, genuine, and sustained actions to achieve PR goals.

The Synergy between LOVE and RISE:

The LOVE components lay the foundation for effective PR by building trust and understanding through active listening and empathy, fostering strong relationships by valuing stakeholders. The RISE components leverage this foundation to enhance reputation through strategic influence and sharing, sustain efforts that promote positive relationships and credibility.

Conclusion:

By integrating LOVE and RISE, PR professionals can develop meaningful connections with stakeholders, cultivate a positive reputation, drive engagement and loyalty, and ultimately achieve their organization's goals. As we navigate the complex world of PR, remember: Rise in Love, Rise in PR.
